Nam Dinh Vu Port receives module shipment for the Ras Laffan Petrochemicals Project*

On August 24, 2024, Nam Dinh Vu Port officially received a critical module shipment for the Ras Laffan Petrochemicals (RLPP) project, which was successfully launched at the berth.

This notable event marks a new achievement in enhancing the port’s capacity to receive and handle oversized and heavy cargo, while also affirming the pivotal role of Gemadept Corporation in connecting goods within the global supply chain.

The module shipment received by Nam Dinh Vu Port consists of five modules with 6-levels building height, each weighing over 500 tons on average. Notably, the heaviest module weighs up to 720 tons, requiring meticulous preparation and the use of specialized equipment for handling and transportation.

With experience in handling cargo for notable projects such as wind power, the Nhon-Hanoi Metro, and the Sarawak Methanol Petchem project…, Nam Dinh Vu Port closely coordinated with experts in handling super heavy and oversized cargo and contractors to ensure the smooth, safe, and timely handling of the shipment.
