When the city fell into a deep sleep, some people stayed awake all night to continue the story of the "Metro dream" of Vietnamese people. Those are Gemadept's engineers, managers, skilled experts, and experienced drivers of specialized equipment, working closely with the staff of the Management Board of Urban Railway to ensure the safe transportation of 3 carriages of lot number 2 (metro line 1).

After completing the customs clearance and successfully unloading the carriages at Khanh Hoi port (District 4, Ho Chi Minh City) at noon on May 10, 2021, at 0:00 on May 11, 2021, the carriages was transported by Gemadept's vehicles specialized for OOG cargo, heading towards Long Binh depot (Thu Duc City) for trial operation.

As the transportation contractor for this national key project, Gemadept's Project team has prepared a detailed master plan very thoroughly and professionally. Similar to the transportation of the first Metro carriages in October 2020, Gemadept carefully prepared a transportation plan across the crowded inner city with a total transportation distance of 26 km, starting at Nguyen Tat Thanh - Ton Duc Thang - Nguyen Huu Canh - Nguyen Co Thach - Mai Chi Tho - Hanoi Highway - National Highway 1 - Road No. 400 - Hoang Huu Nam - Road No. 11 - Long Binh Depot. The safety factor for both the people and the equipment was put on top and was calculated in every detail.

To ensure road safety during the transportation journey, a fleet of specialized vehicles manufactured in Germany with signal lights, brake lines connecting between trailer axles, controlled by a hydraulic system that Gemadept used creatively and skillfully; the bumpiness was reduced to minimum, helping the convoy to be perfectly balanced when moving on the road.

After about 3 hours driving with an average speed of 5–10 km/h, at 3 AM of the same day, Gemadept's fleet arrived at Long Binh depot (Thu Duc city). The carriages glittering in a new coat of blue and white paint were ready to be lifted onto the tracks and for trial operation at noon on 11/05/2021. In the cool weather at dawn, every drop of sweat was still rolling on the radiant faces of the people who had just successfully completed the assigned tasks.

As planned, at 0:00 on May 13, 2021, the carriages of train number 3 continued to be transported by Gemadept to Long Binh Depot for trial operation.
