NAM DINH VU PORT LAUNCHES 24/7 INTERNAL ELECTRIC BUS SYSTEM

News
05.06.2026

From June 3, 2026, Nam Dinh Vu Port officially launched its internal electric bus system, operating 24/7 to serve the transportation needs of staff, customers, partners, and vendor units working at the port.

The deployment of this electric bus system is designed to optimize internal mobility, enhance traffic safety within the port, and support the company’s sustainable development goals in line with ESG standards.

Convenient Internal Mobility

During port operations, staff, customers, partners, and vendors frequently need to travel between quarantine zones, cargo inspection areas, and other operational points within the terminal.

The electric bus system has been introduced to facilitate fast, continuous, and convenient movement across the entire port. Fifteen dedicated waiting stations have been strategically positioned at key locations throughout the port to ensure easy service access for all users.

Vehicles operate continuously — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — to meet transportation demands across all working shifts.

Enhanced Internal Traffic Safety

The terminal operating area sees a high volume of vehicles and equipment in motion, posing potential safety risks for workers and other personnel — particularly those travelling by personal vehicle or on foot.

The introduction of the electric bus system helps standardize internal transportation arrangements, minimize safety hazards, and improve overall traffic safety across the entire operational zone.

Driving Green Transition and Sustainable Development

The internal electric bus is one of the concrete initiatives in Nam Dinh Vu Port’s green transition roadmap.

Compared to conventional fuel-powered vehicles, electric buses reduce greenhouse gas emissions, lower noise levels within the port, and contribute to an improved working environment.

This initiative reflects the port’s commitment to developing a modern, safe, and sustainable terminal, while advancing ESG objectives as part of the company’s long-term development strategy.

How to Use the Service

Users wishing to travel by the internal electric bus should follow these steps:

Step 1: Proceed to the nearest waiting station and note the station code (T01, T02, …)

Step 2: Call the Hotline 0814.548.288, provide your station code and the number of passengers requiring pick-up.

Step 3: Wait at the designated safe area of the station. A bus will arrive within 5–10 minutes.

The launch of the internal electric bus system represents a significant step forward in improving internal mobility, strengthening traffic safety within the operational zone, and advancing the sustainable development vision of Nam Dinh Vu Port.
